UK-Wide Send-In Ram Repair

The UK's Go-To
Hydraulic Ram & Cylinder
Repair Specialists

Leaking, scored, pitted or seized? Send us your ram by courier and our engineers strip, assess, repair, pressure-test and return it — fast. Thousands repaired every year for plant, agriculture, tipper and industrial operators.

Beyond repair? We manufacture a brand-new cylinder in-house — barrel, rod, glands and all — so you get one supplier, one lead time, one invoice.

While it's off the machine, send your hydraulic hoses too. We'll replace tired, perished or chafed hoses on the same job — so the whole assembly goes back fit for years, not weeks.

Manufacture & Machining

A Down Machine Is Costing You Money

A FAILED RAM STOPS
EVERYTHING

When a cylinder blows a seal or scores a rod, the whole machine is dead weight in the yard. Hire bills keep running, jobs slip, and most local shops can't turn it around fast enough.

Leaking & losing pressure

Oil everywhere, no lifting power, and a slow drift that fails its next inspection.

Downtime eating profit

Every idle day is hire cost, missed work and a frustrated operator stood about.

No local shop can cope

Wrong seals, no rod in stock, "two to three weeks" — and still no firm price.

Obsolete or one-off rams

OEM discontinued the part, or it's a bespoke unit nobody else will touch.

Send It To Us.
We'll Sort The Rest.

One courier call gets your ram to our workshop next morning. We strip it the same day, ring you with a clear price, and most jobs are back on the road within 48 hours of arrival.

And because we machine and manufacture in-house, "no parts available" isn't a problem — if it can't be repaired, we build you a new one to the original spec.

About the booking fee

The amount paid at booking is a booking fee that reserves your slot and covers collection, strip-down and assessment — it is not payment for the repair itself. Once we've inspected your ram we'll provide a full quotation, and any repair, parts or manufacturing charges will follow after you approve that quote. You're never committed to repair costs until you've seen and agreed the price.

Questions, Answered

Hydraulic Ram Repair
FAQs

Is the booking fee the cost of the repair?

No. The booking fee reserves your bench slot and covers collection, strip-down and full assessment of your ram. It is not payment for the repair. After we inspect the unit we'll send you a full quotation, and any repair, parts or manufacturing charges follow once you approve that quote.

How do I send my ram to you?

Once booked, we'll send simple packing and courier guidance. A major courier collects from you and delivers to our workshop — typically next morning. You're also welcome to drop it into us at our trade counter directly.

How fast is the turnaround?

We strip and assess on the day your ram arrives and quote straight away. Straightforward repairs are commonly back with you within 72 hours of arrival; new-build or specialist work takes longer and we'll confirm the lead time in your quote.

What types of ram do you repair?

All of them — single and double acting, telescopic, multi-stage, tipper, hollow and bespoke cylinders, up to 300mm bore and 3 metres long, across plant, agricultural, transport and industrial equipment.

What happens if you can't repair my cylinder?

If your ram is beyond economic repair we will usually be able to quote you on manufacturing a brand new one — so do not be worried. After you've sent us your cylinder, one of our technical and highly trained specialists will assess it and give you a call to discuss the best course of action. If we can salvage the cylinder we will, and if you'd like a less permanent repair we're happy to oblige where possible — however all of the options will be laid out clearly for you to decide how you'd like us to proceed.

What happens if I decide not to proceed with the repair?

If for whatever reason you choose not to proceed with the repair — that's fine. We can discuss how you'd like us to proceed: we can either dispose of your cylinder, you can collect it, or we can arrange to have it shipped back to you at your expense. Please note there will be a small additional charge, to cover the engineer's time stripping the unit down, his professional assessment and if the booking fee hasn't covered the collection costs.

Can you replace my hydraulic hoses too?

Yes — and we recommend it. Send your hoses in with the ram and we'll renew any that are perished, chafed or tired, so the whole assembly goes back fit for the long haul rather than just the part that failed.

Do the repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. All repairs are pressure-tested and certified before return, and backed by our workshop warranty for your peace of mind.
